April 1st 2006 marks the one year anniversary of the the day I was inspired to form FRS Consulting and strike out on my own as an information management consultant. Oddly enough, a decade and a half of working for others didn't make me feel completely ready to start working for myself, but I have discovered that doing it made me ready. There isn't enough room here for me to thank all the people who gave me advice, encouragement, and most importantly, the work I needed in order to succeed over these past twelve months. I sincerely appreciate it and I couldn't have done it without you. Somewhere in the middle of all that work, I also managed to speak at two database conferences, write part of a white paper, and be interviewed by a technical magazine, as well as take a leadership role in my local user group. The next twelve months look even more promising, with some impressive opportunities on the horizon. I look forward to sharing the details with you as things develop.
